Subject: The band delivers big time!
What a great show! The first half is pure grade A butter and then you get the best guests imaginable and energy and playing that made for a magical night. The recording captures the spirit of the evening both musically and from the crowd.

Subject: phenomenal show - issues with files
For anyone who was there that night on the Big Meadows, it will be a night not forgotten in this life time. The band was in top form and the musical guests like Peter Rowan (who didn't even do his own set that weekend) made it a magical set.

In terms of the files, this show has some issues. The sound quality is excellent, so that's the most important thing. I downloaded the individual FLAC files because after trying 3 times, the whole 492.5M bundle wouldn't unzip. Second, the first four minutes and 13 seconds of the first track is the sound check. The downloader will want to split this track unless he wants to hear four minutes of sound check every time before listening to Firefly, one of the strongest songs. Finally, the show comes in at 80:02, so it's two seconds longer than what can fit on a disc. (If you have Nero, time can easily be snipped off during the sound check or after the last song.) It's a wonderful show that's well worth the download, it will just take some editing on behalf of the downloader.

Subject: Lets get everyone on stage!
This was the first time I saw Hot Buttered Rum and will NOT be the last!! This show was at the Big Meadow stage and stole the crowd away from the Grand stage. With a guest on stage such as Peter you know this is a show you want!
